The main dining rooms are generally reserved for the traditional cruise guest. Dinner is served in two seatings. Main seating is usually around 6 pm, and late seating is 8 or 8:30 pm. Celebrity Cruises’ Lean and Light low-fat dining options, for example, are offered on lunch and dinner menus, and the line’s Aquaspa Cafés serve light and healthy cuisine from breakfast until evening. One of the latest innovations in cruise ship dining is elegant, “reservations only” gourmet bistros that are comparable in quality to the finest restaurants on land. In addition, you can enjoy a multi-course gourmet dinner served on your own balcony—complete with wait staff.
