NCL Set to Rename, Reflag Pride of Hawaii

NCL Corp. said it will rename and reflag the Pride of Hawaii before moving it into European deployment. The company will reflag the vessel from U.S. registry into the Bahamas registry and rename it Norwegian Jade after a short wet dock in Honolulu in February 2008. The ship will continue to operate seven-day roundtrip Honolulu cruises through the Jan. 28, 2008 cruise. The ship will enter wet dock on Feb. 6 when it will receive modifications including the addition of a casino and new hull artwork. The renamed ship will be showcased during inaugural events in both Los Angeles and Miami. After a series of repositioning cruises, the ship will arrive in Barcelona for its first 12-day cruise beginning on March 30, 2008. Detailed information on Norwegian Jade's European itineraries will be available next week at www.ncl.com.
